Polyester Dyeing in Poly/cotton Fabric or Yarn

48 / 100

Dyeing of the Poly / Cotton fabric or yarn is little complicated than the dyeing of fabric with 100% component .

In general single part dyeing is used to develop a melange effect .

By principal it looks very simple method of creation of melange effect .

But if the fibre mixing is not proper, then this effect may not be good, Hence for this Blow room mixed Yarn is advisable than the Draw frame mixed yarn.

There have been a lot of development in the spinning techniques to make this look better and even.

In dyeing if we create this effect by poly dyeing then it is very simple and cost economical. But if the post treatment of the dyeing is not proper then we can see un even spots in the fabric.

Hence removal of the unfixed dyes from the cotton postion is very important .

In general technitian prefer to do Caustic – Hydro treatment , which is traditional methd of dyeing Reduction clearing.

If it is light shade some technitian prefer to do Acid medium Reduction clearing to avoid time.

But in all such cases shade may change heavily after dryer or after multiple washes . where most of the technitians are not focusing . It is hapenning because Colour is not fully removed.

The application of hydro is very sensitive , As Sodium hydro sulphite may get evaporate in air . Hence it is advised to do oxidative method to remove the unfixed disperse dyes from the cotton part. Where i find Caustic and H2O2 treatment is the best . Though some technitian do the Chlorine bleach also. It is more effective. But not an enviro firendly.

Hence i always suggest to use Caustic – H2O2 method post dyeing .
